Love is in the air, lol.Welcome back to New Tip Daily, episode #57 thanks for joining me today, I will be discussing the association of real love and made up love.  The origins of Valentine's Day as a holiday celebrating love and affection between romantic partners can be traced back to ancient Rome. The holiday was established in 496 AD by Pope Gelasius I and was named after Saint Valentine, a Christian martyr. The exact details of Saint Valentine's life and death are not clear, but he was said to have been imprisoned and executed for secretly marrying couples in ancient Rome, during a time when marriage was banned by the emperor Claudius II. The holiday became associated with courtly love and romantic ideals in the High Middle Ages, and by the 15th century, it was a well-established celebration of love in England and other parts of Europe. Today, Valentine's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, as a day to exchange gifts, cards, and messages of love with romantic partners, family members, and friends.
