Description

We all know about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was an American Baptist Minister and Social activist who became one of the most visible spokesmen/person and leaders during the civil rights movement until he was murdered in 1968 outside his hotel room. In this episode, Mojavi Emi joins us to pay tribute to Dr King, through words that cost him his life, and the freedom to speak the word of freedom for all through a platform Dr. King gave birth to.  Mojavi has been part of the local poetry and spoken word scene for over twenty years. He is the Founder of “Urban Guerilla Theatre and is the Original founder of “Nitty Gritty Slam. Mojavi has performed and been featured all over the Capital region as well the Nuyorican Poet café in New York City
