Though the title of this is “what is a debut novel?”, the inspiration comes from a writing myth that a debut novel is a writer’s first novel. I may have already busted this myth before, but now it’s time to take a deep dive into what the definition of a debut novel truly is.
Along the way, I’ll explore choices I’ve made as a self-published author and how you can use my knowledge to learn going forward. Then, I discuss the difference between what is best-selling and what is best written. There is a key distinction here that all authors should remember!
Follow me as I explore the pitfalls writers face portrayed my social media, television shows, and celebrities who can’t wait to write their biographies.
