David's preparation for the temple was elaborate and deliberate, he made it easier for Solomon to build the temple by ensuring that all materials and personnels were available and ready to help the king. My lesson however today is with how capable some families were and how fathers had sons as skillful as themselves serving with them. The fathers had a sense of service they had been able to pass on to their children. In the same way, just as we know the Lord, our children should know and be willing to serve him too. As you serve God, I pray for you, that your children will also know the Lord for themselves and be willing to serve him.
