As David concludes his reign, he gives his son Solomon his final advise and makes a request in prayer to God; "And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately", he then prayed, "give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything...". May our children desire to seek, to know, and love God for themselves.
