Everyone must know about this guy called Jabez by now, we know that his parents named him for the condition around his birth and that his life overtime began to look like his name, sorrow. But you see the Bible teaches us that Jabez refused to accept his condition as his destiny, he cried to God until God granted his request and changed his story. Also, in chapter 5, as we already learned in Genesis chapter 49, Reuben's one single action costed him his birthright as the first born. Lesson, stay away from sexual sins like the North is far from the South. Finally, in chapter 6, we see these group of people among the Levite that were so trustworthy and faithful everyone knew, they could be trusted both with the treasuries and with the importance work of keeping the tabernacle and finally the temple going, are you trustworthy and faithful?
