David sings a special song after God delivers him from Saul, this song teaches us about David's mindset; fears, doubt, faith, gladness, etc. as he trusts God through that difficult period. Chapter 23 gives us David's final words as recorded by this writer and the list of his 37 mightiest warriors. Even that has lessons for us, we see that Uriah the Hittite whom David killed for Bathsheba was one of them. We also notice that Joab's name was noticeably excluded probably indicating the rift that has ensued between him and David.
