Description

Are you doing the Lord's work? It is amazing to see the passion and resolve with which the apostle Paul preached the gospel. Everyone who encountered him can plainly see he was on assignment. From the moment Paul encountered Jesus on that road to Damascus, he preached Jesus to everyone whether they wanted to hear him or not. To Paul, he was simply doing the Lord's work. "When they arrived he declared, “You know that from the day I set foot in the province of Asia until now I have done the Lord’s work humbly and with many tears. I have endured the trials that came to me from the plots of the Jews. I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes. I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike—the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.
"
Acts of the Apostles 20:18‭-‬21 NLT. Let's take a few lesson from Paul. Paul said he had done the Lord's work humbly, with many tears and endured the trials that came. Humility and endurance are going to be key if we are not going to become proud or distracted from the assignment. The assignment doesn't always guarantee everything will be fine all the time, but Jesus promised that on this assignment; he would never leave nor forsake us. Next Paul says he never refrained from telling them what they needed to hear; whether it was sweet or bitter, he told them, privately or publicly, he told them the message. Lastly, he had a message-the need to hold on to God through life's journey. Are you doing the Lord's work? Are you preaching the gospel?
