We note two observations in our devotional this morning; the apostles and disciples continued to baptise new believers in water contrary to some claims. "But now the people believed Philip’s message of Good News concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ. As a result, many men and women were baptized.
"
Acts of the Apostles 8:12 NLT.. The other is about the fact the believers in Samaria who were evidently filled with the Holy Spirit did not immediately necessarily start speaking in other tongues. As soon as they arrived, they prayed for these new believers to receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, for they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John laid their hands upon these believers, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Acts of the Apostles 8:15-17 NLT.. In my opinion, that would mean there were other signs for us to know if and when you are filled with the Holy Spirit because Simon the sorcerer could see they were. What do you think?
