As the Persian empire begins, we see a new plot to take out Daniel. The people and Daniel knew he wasn't going to compromise his faith and pray to an idol, so they got the king, Darius, to sign a law declaring anyone who did not pray to Darius ends up in the lion's den. Daniel could have comprised this time and it would have been understandable. He has stood for his faith these many years, some would say, why not compromise this time to save your life? Not Daniel; instead, he chose punishment, he chose death and the lion's den over bowing down. That is faith. Yes, those were the only two options; you either bow or die. Daniel chose death. The eventually outcomes was created from Daniel's trust and faith in God. Our lesson today, the LORD never fails or abandon those who put their trust and faith him. Believe GOD today and he will not fail you.
