We read Daniel chapters 9 today as we begin to understand which empire represents the 4th beast. Actually, we can look back in history now and say it was definitely the Roman empire. This empire was not only in charge when the Anointed one, Jesus, was born, but we also know that this empire will have 10 kings and that it is from one of them that the antichrist will arise. Why are all of these important? Because we want to know who the antichrist is. The Bible says he will be a master of intrigues, a deceiver, Jesus actually said that even some of the elect, Christians will be deceived. Some "elects" will be amongst those who will ensure his acceptance as a man of peace and a unifier of religions. Secondly, we will have a good understanding of the nations he will likely come from. Any good Bible student knows that it was all a deflection claiming that Donald Trump or Putin or the Pope is the antichrist. Lord help us as we live through this end time not to be deceived.
