The book of Ezra fills in the gap information we might have missed and an account of the exiles back to Jerusalem from Babylon. With a key focus on two issues the returning exiles face; struggle and resistance towards building the temple and their desire for spiritual reformation and fellowship with God. Ezra has a lot to teach us. With characters like, Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, the prophets Haggai and Zechariah, there is so much to learn. As you read Ezra, learn the lessons here that God can help us through any challenges. Also, just as God used several gentile kings to see the temple rebuilt, God can use anyone to support us in seeing his purpose established. Lastly, as we read Ezra, we learn that rebuilding our altars and place of fellowship and communion with God can be challenging, but they are doable.
