Description

In his conclusion to the book of Galatians, the apostle reminders us about the place of consistency and perseverance in living the Christian life.

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Galatians 6:7‭-‬10 NLT.

The justice of God demands that you reap where you sow. You cannot hope to do all your sowing with the flesh or sinful nature and hope to reap the reward of the fruit of the Spirit. In other words, pay attention where you are sowing and with whom you are walking; sinful nature or the Spirit.

Secondly, just like the law of the harvest, we often don't immediately reap the harvest from sowing, it takes time, there is a process; from germination to ripe fruits. Don't immediately give up when as a Christian, you are not immediately seeing the results of walking in the Spirit; persevere and patience are essential.
