In today's devotional, we see the priest of the Old testament struggle to follow the dictates and regulations. It was so fearsome that Moses, the giver of the law himself feared. Aaron the high priest was left scared with the death of his 2 sons; Nadab and Abihu. As such, we understand what the writer of the book of Hebrewswas referring to when he said;
Hebrews 12:20-22 NLT
[20] They staggered back under God’s command: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.” [21] Moses himself was so frightened at the sight that he said, “I am terrified and trembling.” [22] No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to countless thousands of angels in a joyful gathering.
Believers have come to mount Zion. Here, we enter goes presence by the blood of Christ. We enter with Thanksgiving, we know we will find Grace and Mercy instead of fear and terror. Halleluyah!
