It is incredible to see all the truths revealed verse after verse in Isaiah 53 about the messiah; how he was going to be rejected, his piercing and death on the cross, how his death would be on behalf of others and it would be payment for the sins of everyone who wants to come to the father. And how God was going to give him a soldiers victory after him laying down his life. How could the devil not have known all of this? Considering the virgin, and then Jesus fulfilling one prophecy after another about the messiah; his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, his healing the sick, etc. To then bring him to the cross and allow them pierce him is totally beyond comprehension, and crazy. But that was exactly what the devil did. No wonder Paul asked in 1Cor 2:8, that had the rulers of darkness of this world known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. The question is, how could they not have known? The simple answer is that it was hidden from them, thank you Jesus. Thank you Lord for hiding this truth from the devil. Thank you that I am a child of God today, I can call God my father because you finished the work of salvation on the cross. Thank you Jesus.
