In today's devotional, we begin reading a new book, the gospel of John.
John's gospel take is exceptionally unique in that John's gives us a revelation of Jesus Christ like no other gospel writer. John gives us so many names of Jesus. He starts by presencing Jesus as the Word of God through whom all things were created. He also tells us that Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus, the Word is also revealed as the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is the Chosen one of God, he is the Son of Man, the only one qualified to represent man before God. Jesus is also revealed to be the stairway between heaven and earth. He connects the heavens and earth.
If you really want to know Jesus Christ, then read the book of John.
"In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
