True Worshippers. That's the title of today's devotional. From Jesus' discussion with this Samaritan woman, we know God is looking for those who would worship Him in spirit and in truth, but have you ever asked why? And why was Jesus equating satisfaction and content in life with worship? Worship is the expression of worth. In worship, we reveal what our souls truly craves. The problem is, only God can satisfy that craving. This craving is not physical even though we seek to satisfy it with physical things, it is spiritual. For this woman, she had been looking to satisfy that craving by having as many men as she could. Some people try money, women, sex, drugs, fame, etc. What you are actually seeking to do is worship. I say again, none of those things can satisfy the emptiness in your soul, only God can. Jesus said; "If only you knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water." He goes on to say; "Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again." Pray with me this morning; Jesus, I receive this living water.
