Description

In today's devotional, Jesus compares himself to the manna that God gave the children when they were in the wilderness. The lesson of the manna in the wilderness was simple, the people had to gather it every day apart from the sabbath, this was to teach them that man shall not live by bread alone but by following God's instructions. Ultimately, the manna stopped. Jesus is the real bread. The bread that will never stop.

"Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven. The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” “Sir,” they said, “give us that bread every day.” Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
John 6:32‭-‬35 NLT.

We might not fully understand the significance of what bread meant to someone or a family in the middle east where this event is situated, but it literally meant the difference between life and death.

Jesus is the bread that satisfies. He is the true bread that gives life. Jesus said; "whoever comes to me will never be hungry again." Come to Jesus today and you will find all you need.
