In today's devotional, Jesus tells the crowd and his readers about the effect of following him; "Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
John 8:12 NLT. If you follow Jesus, if you are a Christian, your darkness is not only gone, but you should begin to see life through Jesus. Imagine being in the dark and then flipping on the light switch, do you continue to grope around as if the light isn't on? That is what some Christians do. My encouragement, walk in the light you now have. Before you do anything, ask yourself; what would Jesus have me do in this situation?
