In today's devotional, Jesus teaches the disciples about the connection between prayer and faith and how it can literally move mountains. Anything is possible when we pray. Remember that faith is knowing that God is. It is having that certainty in your heart that there is someone; God, at the other side of my prayer. When this kind of faith connects with prayer, Jesus says it will move mountains. Jesus said;
"Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours." Mark 11:22-24 NLT.
A mountain represents anything that has become an obstacle. When a mountain is before you, the future is uncertain. Jesus says, mountains move when we pray. The lesson today is, if you want that mountain to move, have faith in God. There is a second part; have faith in God and then speak to that mountain. The faith part implies that you have come to know that God is who He says He is and that He can do what he says He would do. The faith part is certain God keeps his word, he never lies and he never fails. When that part is clear, what is left is to speak.
I don't know what mountains have kept you up at night or mountains that have barred your progress, let's speak to those mountains together in the name of Jesus.
We declare; mountains moves now in Jesus name!
