In today's devotional, we conclude our learning on Jesus' second coming by taking his final instruction on how we should prepare. It doesn't matter what we believe as per the endtime, we all believe Jesus Christ is coming back again.
"“The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return—in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!”
Mark 13:34-37 NLT.
Each one of us has an assignment to be done, please do yours. If you don't know your specific assignment yet, do the great commission of making disciple of all people. Secondly, while we are working, we must pay attention to the gatekeeper's warning of his return. We must obviously be watching ourselves, we can't be caught sleeping on our assignment, however, the gatekeepers will warn us when his coming is right at the door. Who are the gatekeepers?
