As we conclude reading the book of Mark, my emphasis is on the very last verse, it says;
"And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs."
Mark 16:20 NLT.
After Jesus' resurrection, he didn't take the disciples with him to heaven, no, he left them here to do an assignment. We call this assignment the Great Commission which is to make disciples of all people and to tell them about Jesus. The disciples took this assignment seriously, they went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, he worked with them, confirming, corroborating, what they where saying by causing miraculous signs to happen. The miraculous signs were not for the entertainment or amusement of anyone, they were a confirmation these were followers of Jesus, there were Christians.
We have been given the same assignment, preach the gospel today and tell others about Jesus.
