I have 2 questions for you to answer as you go through the day; Is Jesus in your boat? If the answer to that is yes, then why are you so afraid? Jesus equated failing to recognize his presence and what it means to a lack of faith. That is because faith is first and foremost an understanding that God is. If he promised, he would not fail. There was no way anything would happen to the people in that boat because God was present. It is so easy to become so familiar with Jesus, to call his name so often, so much that we stop listening in to him, and practising a consciousness of his presence. My charge today is simple, be more conscious of Jesus. He promised he would never leave us or forsake us, it's a promise. Even in and through the storms of life, he gave his word he wouldbe there. I want to encourage that all through the day, catch yourself once in a while and remind yourself; God is with me.
