In today's devotional, we see Jesus do 2 amazing miracles and learned that for every miracle Jesus did, there was a significant.
"They were all terrified when they saw him. But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!” Then he climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. They were totally amazed, for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves. Their hearts were too hard to take it in.
Mark 6:50-52 NLT.
The significance of the miracles Jesus did was not to make him popular but to reveal who he was to the people who heard him.
On these day, the disciples, just like they had faced not too long ago, were caught up in a situation where they were filled with fear. When Jesus got back into the boat he could see that despite the fact he was there, they were still afraid, no wonder he told them; "don't be afraid! Take courage! I am here!" I say again; fear is proof you have forgotten or lost sight of who is with you. Usually, when we are conscious someone powerful or strong is with us, we are less afraid of facing obstacles. My charge, be conscious, Jesus is with you. Don't be afraid!
