What is the greatest commandment? What is the most important commandment God expects everyone one of us to fulfill? When Jesus was asked this question, it was to entrap him, if he mentioned one, they would accuse him of neglecting others. If he said; "you shall not kill", which is important, they would ask, what about; "you shall not steal" or "you shall not bear false witness against your neighbour." Jesus' answer sums up all of God's laws into one; love. Love God and love people. Actually, you can't love God and hate people.
"Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

When you love God with all your heart, soul and mind, you will find it impossible to hate or not love the people he made in his image and sacrificed his only begotten son for.
