There are so many life lessons in these three chapters that I can't point all of them out. For example; “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is!
Matthew 6:22-23 NLT. In other words, the eyes are an access to the soul, what the eyes allows to go, determines what we wil see in the life of the individual. Which means you have control over what your eyes allow in. Next; "And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
"
Matthew 6:30 NLT. Simply put, worrying is a sign of faithlessness. Stop wearing your faithlessness like a badge of how strong a Christian you are. “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
"
Matthew 7:12 NLT. The golden rule is simple; to love. "Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.
"
Matthew 7:20 NLT. The true measure of people are not their words but their actions. Promises are good, but your track record trumps them any day and anytime.
