In many of Jesus' encounters with the sick, he prayed for them by laying hands on them and they received their healing, not this woman in Matthew chapter 9; without Jesus' permission or knowing, she had faith enough to turn things on their head by touching him, she simply tapped into the anointing on him. "Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Matthew 9:20-22 NLT. The truth is, she wasn't the only one touching Jesus, but she was the only one to receive her healing. She touched him with a definite expectation that what she was praying and hoping for would happen, and it did. Jesus called this; faith.
