The words of Proverbs are so profound there are too many to highlight today. "Wine produces mockers; alcohol leads to brawls. Those led astray by drink cannot be wise." Why? They lack judgement. There is nothing wrong with drinking wine or alcohol, it's where being intoxicated with them leads that wisdom has something against. "If you love sleep, you will end up in poverty. Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat." There is a time for everything, even to sleep, loving sleep however can become a problem. ""An inheritance obtained too early in life is not a blessing in the end." My response, wow. "The person who strays from commonsense will end up in the company of the dead." My reading of that is that you choose your company by your actions. Finally; "those who love pleasure become poor; those who love wine and luxury will never be rich."
