Math whiz. Mechanical engineer. Poker player. YouTube Creator. Aerospace engineer.
Would you believe me if I told you that those all describe one person?
Wissam Seif has experienced more of a transformation in the past decade than many people do in their entire lifespan.
As a student, he was great at math and liked tinkering with things that moved, so naturally, he pursued mechanical engineering in school.
He landed a good role in the industry, but soon had to pivot when there were layoffs at the company.
What next?
Professional poker!
Wissam dove into the world of professional poker and YouTube before rediscovering his love of engineering.
He now works in the aerospace industry.
Francesca Cadhit, Founder of Top Class Edge, asks Wissam what he wishes he had learned sooner. The answer lies in communication and connection with peers.
In this episode, I interview Wissam about life as an engineer, what he wished he learned sooner, getting laid off, pursuing his passions, and how he reconnected with his love of engineering.
