The third and final installment of the Templar knights series discusses the downfall of the order. King Phillip 4th in an underhanded bid to get out from under his debt to the Templars charges the order with heresy. While torturing the knights false confessions are gathered about secret rituals the order performed in their initiation ceremonies including the scandalous act of spitting on a cross and kissing eachother on the belly... it was 1307 and those were susposedly giant crimes at the time. Even Pope Clement 5th couldn't rescue the order and under the pressure of the king disavowed the Knights Templar throughout the entire christian kingdom.
