Have you heard about the Lavender Scare? It began in the late 1940s and continued for over 30 years, effected thousands of lives and yet it is one of the least known about events in American history. During McCarthyism and the Red Scare, while Senate subcommittees were going after Communists in a very public way, they were also searching for, finding and purging LGBTQ+ individuals working in the federal government. KT takes part 2 of the episode with the legend of Robin Hood. Was he a real person? Did he really steal from the rich to give to the poor?
