Lot of people do not delegate their work because they want to make themselves indispensable and safeguard their jobs. They get thrilled and take lot of pride in entrusting upon themselves all the big things happening in their organization. This sort of behavior is a death sentence for your career because making yourself that important means you would not be released for holidays, training and other professional pursuits. So if you want your growth along with the growth of organization as a whole, make yourself dispensable!
