You should enter a network without expectations of getting something in return because once you enter a network with those expectations, the chances are that they would not be met. A good network always has new friendships, experiences and knowledge to offer. Some day in the long run, out of blue, a friend in your network can come and rescue you from a deep deep trouble or expose you to a lucrative opportunity in life, who knows?
