How you respond to an invitation can change the course of your life - Dr Charles Lee.An invitation to attend the Haggai Institute (HI) in Maui for Christian evangelism was turned down several times by HEARTtalk host Dr Charles Lee. One day in July 1996, on receiving the third invitation from HI, Charles stopped his car and opened the white envelope with the logo initials HI. Immediately he responded because God impressed upon his heart that it was 'His Invitation'. On 31st July 1996 in Maui, after being challenged by Dr John Haggai, founder of HI, to"Attempt something so great for God that it is doomed to fail unless God be in it!", Charles wrote down the vision of the Asia-Pacific Consultation On Discipleship (APCOD). 5 years later from 25-27 July 2001, there was a gathering of 850 Christian leaders from 36 nations in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, to inaugurate the 1st APCOD Consultation. A testimony that invitations can indeed change the course of one's life.
