Matthew 6:5-21
The Lord's Prayer is a model of prayer in its claim of relationship and simplicity.
God:
Petitions:
Exodus 20:1-8
1. Do not have other gods beside me.
2. Do not make an idol for yourself.
3. Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
4. Remember the Sabbath.
Exodus 20:7a- "Do not misuse the name of God."
Matthew 6:9b- "...your name because honored as holy."
God has a reputation and that reputation is largely dependent on what we do in the world in the name of God.
