Alma and his people are brought into bondage when discovered by the Lamanites. They prayed to the Lord and one of the way God answered their prayers- was to make their burdens seem light. Because the people remained obedient and did not complain God worked a miracle and caused the Lamanites to sleep while Alma and his people escaped.
