Age is a limitation for some, but not for God. He can use any person at any age. Abraham was seventy-five years old when God called him and one hundred years old when Isaac was born. Human restrictions and limitations of the past cannot confine God; in fact, He can use those things to accomplish His will for the future.
You may hear people say "I have my own ideas of who God is and I have my own way of living and worshiping and it can't be wrong because it is who I am." The worship that God accepts is the worship that God prescribes. In Hebrews 11, the author provides a list of those who worshiped and lived by faith. The first on the list of examples is Abel. Why Abel? Because Abel is the first person who lived by faith in the biblical record.
Abel's faith made him a martyr. Cain's unbelief made him a murderer. Both lives and stories were turned into legacies. Both of them are sermons that are still lingering to this day. If you have been worshiping God out of your own ability and in your own personal way but it's not what God sees as worship, repent and change your ways. God forgive me for my arrogance of thinking I can do this my way.
Recognize that God is God and you are not. You can not dictate to God what is acceptable worship and what is not acceptable worship. Make an inward commitment to step down from your throne and declare God as the king of your life.
Stop judging others' worship or lack of it. Stop focusing on the songs and music and place your focus on God. Let your life be a sermon of surrender and a desire to do everything God’s way.
