DANIEL 3: 1-30
GOD WANTS US TO STAND UP AND BE SEEN
Fitting in, blending in, and conforming to the values of the
world around you is what is expected. If you dare go against the
flow of popular worldly ideologies, you will be a marked person,
regarded as a fanatic and relegated to the category of
"dangerous individuals."
Three of Daniel's friends decided it was better to stand up for
God than to bow down to the crowd's wishes. Their conviction
of heart was to refuse to be "conformed to this world" (Romans
12: 2).
3 Things to remember:
1. YOUR WORLD WANTS YOU TO SHUT UP
2. YOUR GOD WANTS YOU TO STAND UP
3. YOUR OPPONENTS MAY LEARN TO LOOK UP
Standing up for God is always better than bowing down; but
it's always harder - So - Ready yourself.
Know who God is and know His Word and His principles by
reading and listening to Him through an intimate
relationship.
God is always sovereign whether the outcome is triumph or
tragedy
If we get delivered, He's sovereign; if we die, He's sovereign. Do
you trust God no matter what the outcome.
Start by praying and meditating on the fact that God is on your
side and HE knows best.
Suffering is sometimes the doorway to freedom. Bind or bound -
God is still God. The only thing the fire burned was what bound
them.
Know that walking with God in His will and principles means
that even when there are hard things going on - God burns and
releases whatever holds you down and holds you back.
