Attention-getting events have come to be known as a wake-up calls. Wake-up calls require action. We learn from this message that information without appropriate action can lead to devastation. In Daniel 5, Belshazzar had all the information, but he didn't act on it. Like in the time of Daniel, God seeks to get people's attention throughout their lives and many times with the intention for us to avert a fatal destination and outcome. The Bible warns us to awake out of our sleep (see Romans 13:11). Are you awake to God?
