Description

Carrie and Daphne discuss the 2003 book The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.

They focus on the parallels between the story, taking place in Afghanistan beginning in the 1970s, and our own lives here in 2020s America. They also discuss the fact that this is an often challenged text in schools, though this one they admit may have some merit for concern (though they'd never agree to a full book ban).

TW: The book (and this discussion breifly) touches on sexual assault of a minor.
