Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why took some heat in schools around the country AFTER it became a popular Netflix series. We take a look at why the book is popular among teens and if there's merit to keeping it out of school libraries. While this book is not about racism, the act of challenging it in schools is a way to silence voices of young people who may be experiencing something traumatic.
