Description

It is appointed to man to die once, then face the judgment (Heb. 9:27).

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Cor. 15:55

Acts 1:3a After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive…

Acts 2:24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

Acts 2:32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.

Acts 4:10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

Acts 4:33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.

Acts 5:29   Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than men! 30 The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead — whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree.

Greek Word for Resurrection is Anastasis

John 11:25a"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die…

Acts 17:18b …“What is this babbler trying to say?” Others remarked, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods.” They said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.

Because He raised from the dead so will you.

Because He raised from the dead so will I.

AND

We can’t ignore what Jesus said.

1Cor. 15:12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

1Cor. 15:13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.

1Cor. 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

1Cor. 15:16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.

1Cor. 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

1Cor. 15:18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.

1Cor. 15:20   But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

1Cor. 15:21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

1Cor. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

1Cor. 15:24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.

1Cor. 15:25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

his incomparably great power for us who believe.  That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead Ephesians 1:18-20
