This New Year, let us become truly united, and to do so we may at the example of Jesus Christ as told in the Christian Bible of the Ultimate Sacrifice to give up oneself for the other.
We begin 2024 with Easter, although Easter is weeks away, it is still appropriate to begin there given the crisis of humanity in the world today. There are wars and rumors of wars, hatred and disdain for each other. We cannot accept one another and have become inundated with selfish desires that give no credence to that which is external to us.
But the act of Christ is a demonstration of God's ultimate plan for us to become one irrespective of our personal likes and dislikes.
On this episode, I provide a record of a previous audio/video entitled "Forgiveness." It's an exhortation or homily at the "Old First United Church of Christ" on Forgiveness which I delivered several years ago that is worth reviving. The message is timeless and relevant today.
