In this episode, together with Elijah, we will tackle how 'efficiency' can make a significant impact in scaling your business. Elijah is a businessman smart enough to realize that moving from one place to another can be a pain for a lot of people. He is one of the founders of the business called Utility Helpers. That's the one-stop resource for changing and or activating all of your services with electricity water, internet, cable, phone, and satellite.
Questions/Topics in this Episode:
- "Efficiency is taking any process that has moving parts and variables and figuring out what's the most streamlined way to do this, what's the way to make sure that the process is as efficient as possible, and as accurate as possible from start to finish with the least amount of work and, and mind space."-Elijah
- What do you like where you're going with that?--For a very high volume, low dollar per transaction company, you can imagine the service provided was free for the end users, and the companies involved pay us convenience fees for setting it up. The whole goal is to provide a better experience for the customers and to save money. It is figuring out how can we take all of these thousands of transactions and thousands of different variables and make it as easy as possible every time
- What software tools do you use or recommend for people that are trying to manage projects or just contact this high volume of things?
- If you're in a business that deals with people, you have to have something that's housing your day-to-day data.
- Figure out what systems are compatible and look forward if you're starting out and you're doing a startup business. And in five years if you're making 50 or a hundred or a thousand times that amount of business, ask the question "what would I have to do to make it a possibility for us to do that and not be insane while doing it?"
- Airtable, Zoho, and Zapier are a few of the platforms that can help you manage websites, and CRM, and intensively lessen physical work in monitoring traffic and contacts.
- A concrete operation in building a system can lead to scalable routines that will improve the company's processes and can lessen the burden on manpower.
