Description

In this week’s Safe Home Podcast, Beth talks with Boston musician Spencer LaJoye, who identifies their gender as non-binary. They came out as bisexual in college and years later came out as non-binary, all within Christian communities. Beth became aware of Spencer when she heard their song “Plowshare Prayer,” a unique prayer for all those against whom prayer has been used as a sword. The song has gone viral around the world, and you will hear Spencer’s back story plus the entire song toward the end of the episode.
