Paul was born in 1958 after his father left England after the war and met his mother in Adelaide. They moved to the Mornington Peninsula in 1960. Paul loved growing up in rural areas and his first job was picking apples.
He started a treelopping business in 1977. He evolved Treeman to be a leading arboriculture and tree care company. Paul became a keen environmentalist and sold his business and moved to the Gold Coast in 1999.
Paul started to buy and sell land on Russell Island where became a millionaire within a couple of years. He borrowed heavily and defaulted on my loans in 2012. He was advised to get a copy of his loan application forms and found that NAB and ANZ had fraudulently increased his income without his knowledge. NAB by 700%, ANZ by 400%. He decided to fight their attempts to liquidate him.
Paul struggled in high school with poor self esteem. This extended into his adult life, suffering from anxiety and often took up to 10 valium tablets a day. In about 1986 he discovered psychology and person growth and it became his passion.
