Description

In this episode we interview Lanise Shortell. Lanise is a Pediatric Hospice Nurse and a Grief and Trauma Counselor. We discuss grief and ways to overcome it. Our goal is to make the conversation around grief and trauma normal so that people don’t suffer in silence.

This episode was recorded while Lanise was in Guatemala, so bare with the sound.

Lanise has served Atlanta families as a pediatric hospice nurse and bereavement support resource for over 15 years. She is a part of training Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Fellows at Emory University. She speaks locally and internationally on family grief support and empowers grievers to grow thru loss using evidenced based cognitive and somatic therapies including yoga and myofascial release.
