Seek God First and He Will Direct Your Path!
We don't understand everything. But if we trust the Lord he will direct our paths. He will work everything out for our good. We may not understand his direction but but it always benefits us in the long run. He'll remind you of the way you were trying to do it when it's all done and finished. But in the end He'll get the glory and you'll be grateful that you were standing still and being obedient to His voice. Let God direct your path.
