The Preacher is to hear from Gods sheep (people) then go to God with intercession.
God chooses the foolish things in this world, the weak things in this world, and things that people discredit, disregard, and cast away as no good or worthless, to show others who think they are high-and-mighty, that He did it for you. God wants to get the glory out of everything. He is a jealous God. He doesn't want anyone else to get His credit. So He choses weak things to catapult them into their destined purpose that He has for them so He can get the glory.
(Matthew 11:28)
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
(Matthew 7:3) ESV
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
(1 Corinthians 1:27) ESV
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
