(Hebrews 13:17) ESV Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. God wants us to put Him first. Only God can truly make us happy. God also wants you to work on yourself, before He can bless you with His gift, which is a spouse. If you don't learn how to submit to God in every area.. He can't give you someone who He has destined for your life, because you will mess it up. You will not be ready to submit to that person and you will always try and challenge him, with everything that he tells you or ask you to do. While you're a single person learn how to submit to God first. (Matthew 6:33) "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” We need to work on doing that before we get into a relationship with someone. Wouldn’t it be awesome to have someone who loves God more than anything? The person that God has for you wants the same thing from you. This is why you have to pray and spend time with God, so you can hear His voice for your life. That's why submitting to God first, it's very important, before He blesses you with someone. So you should start by reading The Bible, Praying, Fasting, going to Church, so you can be around other believers, who can edify you and build you up in the word of God. (Romans 10:14) “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
